When we heard Brett was going to retire, it was on the way to school on Tuesday. Brandon (6 years old) was immediately CRUSHED! Every time Brett was on TV this year, he would run up to the TV (our big plasma TV) and give it a hug. He has said many times, "I am going to miss Brett Favre" this week. What a great role model for a 6 year old to have. Hopefully, it won't be long before we can find one of equal value, but I'm guessing it will take longer than we want. Very eloquently put.
