"But no matter how small my part was to the YES vote, it was enormous to me. YES to Long Beach changed how I saw my part of the political machine–local and powerful, a voice for change, when people really are listening."

This really made me smile Elizabeth! We are sooo lucky to live in this land where we actually do have a voice. So often it seems our voice, our actions have so little impact, but every once in a while we really get to "see".

Our voice matters... what we think matters and what we do about it has real power, even if it is just over our perspective. (I'm not sure if I'm making any sense to you, but I think I get what you are saying here) I appreciate the time you take to communicate your thoughts Elizabeth. I've gotten quiet lately, hesitant to be vulnerable enough to share anything real...

I'm greatful for your voice!
