On the Road Again…

Or, Christmas… Elsewhere

There are two kinds of traveling: have to and will to.

Have to Travel
Work
Family
Death
Holiday

Will To
See
Experience
Chill
Activate
Interact

Note the difference in the etymology of the two?

First is static, nominative. The second is active, verbal, a way to BE in the world.

We’re traveling at the holidays, like so many people do: Family, Work, Holiday (hopefully no Death). I am working hard to make what could be a Have To more like the Will to Road Trip. Measuring the icicles on the buildings, watching the birds at the feeders, walking to relax.

Happy Day, whatever day, wherever.
